New Beginnings

Since my last entry, I decided to visit another consultant for an opinion and possible insight on what is going on with my hair. I was prompted to do this based on my then consultant's seemingly nonchalance to the fact that I was losing locks. I can't blame her for the loss but I looked to her for guidance and her expertise and she lacked in both areas. Anyway, I moved on I found someone who appears to take her business more seriously and is focused on more than making a quick $$. I got my re-tightening done yesterday evening from 6-10pm. It took a little longer as she had to do some reconstruction and attempt to salvage some locks by combining. She did a great job and remained focus all through the process. What a blessing!!! So for now, I am on 4 week re-tightenings until we get my base strong. I will keep you posted.

Still In Progress

I have had some challenges with thinning locks and lost a few ( approximately 10) and the loss of each one has been painful. I am praying that the worst is behind me as I have beefed up my stress relief methods, diet and vitamins. I finally decided to consult with another consultant as my consultant appeared to be a little nonchalant about the loss. My requests to combine locs to save them fell on deaf ears and at my last appointment in addition to telling me that she has another client experiencing the same problem, she basically said,"its growing back" and that was it. I really do not think she meant me any harm , I just think that she did not know what to do. Anyway, I made a decision to do something as it does not make sense for me to pay for re-tis every 4 weeks and my hair is falling out.....crrraaaazzzyyy! The new consultant looked at my scalp at 4 weeks and told me that she did not think there was enough growth to retighten my hair. My previous consultant would have retightened it without any consideration....ummmm.  Anyway, its time to move forward and I am setting my intentions for a healthy head of hair and correcting this hair drama!
