Moving On

So I am glad to share that I completed my first ever retightening this week. I was so nervous about it but I was determined. After going through 3 SL consultants ( which seems to be the norm for many..ie more than one), I decided that I was done! I would cut off the locks before I put up with one more. So I got through it..at first I was nervous but my learning curve kicked in and it got easier and then I decided that I loved retightening my own hair. Its empowering not to depend on anyone to maintain my hair. I must say that my locks look thin and patchy to me in certain areas like the crown and sides. I have experienced growth but not the fullness I expected to regain by wearing my hair in a more natural form. There are days that I really deliberate about just cutting them off and wearing a fro. The nappy lock tool is a great tool and I like it a great deal, I am hopeful that it may be more user friendly for my hair. I will keep you posted.
